Laura Cowen, Ciemon Dunville, Tony Whitmore and Alan Pope attempt to resist multiple cakes whilst bringing you episode 14 of season 3 of the Ubuntu Podcast from the UK LoCo Team!
In this week’s show:-
- We talk about about what we’ve been doing including nothing, cleaning out the spare room to make a study, installing f.lux, updating to Ubuntu Maverick and breaking it.
- We interview the fantastic Kovid Goyal, developer of Calibre, the cross-platform ebook management software.
Note Our interview with Kovid was done internationally and using a cellphone so the quality of the audio isn’t as great as we’d like. Apologies for that, we hope it doesn’t detract from your enjoyment of the interview.
- In the news:-
- We mention some upcoming events:-
- U^3 Cubed – 28th August 2010 – MadLab, Manchester, UK (see below)
- OSSBarCamp – 25th/26th September, University College, Dublin, Republic of Ireland – and We’re going!
- Ubuntu Global Jam – 27th – 29th August 2010 – All around the world
- Software Freedom Day 2010 – 18th September 2010 – All around the world!
- UKUUG OpenTech 2010 – 16th October 2010 – London
- We have a no command line love this week. You could call us on our voicemail number below to fill the terminal void.
- We chat with Jon Spriggs (@jontheniceguy) and “Big” Les “Quarter” Pounder (@biglesp) about U^3 Cubed
- We mention some Ubuntu related news in the Gerald/bit-about-Ubuntu/ecosphere:-
- Finally we have your feedback. I wonder if anyone reads these notes? Let us know in a voicemail.
