I use the same combination of Tomboy and Dropbox you mentioned. Thanks for warning me of the issue with two Tomboys open simultaneously.
A friend of mine will try to do the same thing between his Ubuntu desktop at work and his Macbook, since nowadays there is Tomboy for Mac.
Hint for Ubuntu-running Joggler owners: If you’ve got an Android phone, you can use RemoteDroid as a keyboard/touchpad over WiFi (you’ll need to install Java on the Joggler to run the server) – no need for a USB hub!
