Thanks for the discussion about AskUbuntu.com. Being a Windows power-user switching step-by-step to Ubuntu, it helped me a lot already. I also found the voting system so much better than anything forums use. But I was taken aback a few times when my own posts were edited in a (to me) weird way: moderators removed my “Hello…” and “Thanks…” lines, essentially off-topic (yes), but still basic friendliness.
