We’re back with the tenth episode of Season Six of the Ubuntu Podcast from the UK LoCo Team! Alan Pope, Mark Johnson, Tony Whitmore, Laura Cowen and The Podcats are all set in Studio A with cake and an interview.
In this week’s show:-
- We interview Ivanka Majic, Creative Strategic Lead on the Canonical Design Team about designing in the open.
- We share some Command Line Lurve: btsync
- We chat about publishing an article on opensource.com, playing with juju, taking sweets from strangers, and being experimented on…
- And, of course, we go over your marvellous feedback, including this video from Dave Jeffrey.

Can we now raise a issue of missing GNU/Linux logos on http://www.ubuntu.com main page?
I had quite success to have my bussines enviroment accept and use Ubuntu. However when I try to communicate idea that we should contribute something back, bosses look at the main page, conclude that “they are sitting on pile of money” and basicaly ignore this subject.
Also, for me there is a burning question of when will the Ubuntu web page get Communty and Documentation as one of the main categories?
Thanks for the hint about btsync! I found it very useful at university (biology lab). Every other piece of lab equipment has its own PC, so the data I gather in the course of a few days is spread across a handful of machines. Now with btsync, it’s nice and easy to transfer it to my main PC.
And generally thanks for the informative and funny show(s)!
Isn’t btsync proprietary software?
