I think you’re perhaps a tad hard on Linux video editors here. Kdenlive is a really rather good video editor – I can do everything on it I used to do in Premiere Elements and more. I do some rather stupid things on it ( e.g. youtube.com/stupidrubbish ) and it’s also good for simple hack bits off jobs as well. Avidemux is also very, very handy. There are still a few conspicuous feature gaps (things like recording commentary while watching a video) but these are being worked on and I find it’s surprisingly stable.
Other than that it’s another fantastic ep – you always find stuff that’s interesting that I’ve missed and I thought Alan’s testing of Launchpad to prove the Fedora problem could happen to anyone was really generous gesture.
