This is really turning into the “Last of the Summer Wine” of podcasts, with Popey gently philosophising Peter Sallis-stylee on the nature of snobbery, openness, the command line and everything. Although I suppose that would make Dave Compo and Laura Nora Batty. Can we have you all rolling down a hill in an Ubuntu powered tin bath in the next episode?
Great podcast… But, can you sort out your distances from the mic/recording levels please! Daviey, Laura and popey were loud, andy was very quiet, almost couldn’t hear him
Sorry, Tony, not Andy :/
Yeah, sorry. There’s a good technical reason my levels are so low, mainly due to using new equipment. But I’ll be doubly careful next time.
Overall, really enjoy the podcast. Couple of bits to remark upon:
* Ecosystem, biosphere. “Ecosphere” is just a made up word. Quick google for it turns up Ecosphere is trademarked, too. For both these reasons “Gerald” is a more valid name
* Love the idea of Mini Lightning Talks (Just A Moment) for listener feedback, though don’t think it works for you guys. I want to hear more about some of the things you find interesting – that’s pretty much the USP for the podcast… e.g. I really want to hear the next installment of the Android Love Affair.
Yay! An episode where you can hear Laura’s soft voice!
Keep on with that great podcast!
“S01E12 – The Android Invasion – OGG HIGH [75:35m]:”
This threw me for a bit; I was sure the podcast had been around longer than that.
Nice episode! Really interesting topics. Please expand on the android love affair!
