Yes I download through itunes basically because it downloads podcasts the easiest for me and work nicely with my 2 ipods. I will be checking Songbird out soon but I dont think the ipod is at the same level though. AND I dont think songbird can do podcast downloads. I dont really 'use' twitter or identi.ca but I have signed up for a twitter account. I am dabbling with Ubuntu, I have installed with Wubi on my machine. I have an iPod Touch which also means I can download podcasts without the PC among many other uses it has for me. Only use macmini for iTunes and for the video camera.
